Welcome to the Department
Hi, I am Steph Wilde, Head of the Health & Social Care department. I have been in the department for five years now. I have a vast number of years working in relevant industry from mental health to working with children.
The Health & Social Care department consists of programmes from Level 1 to Level 5. We work in partnership with a number of local employers including Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Foundation Trust and Wigan Council. We are a Centre of Excellence with clinical suites to support students' educational journey. We have a number of specialist tutors who have all worked in industry and are well equipped to pass on their skills and knowledge to our students. We are very proud of our department and have high aspirations for all our students. We want to help create a bright future for the local area and all those that live within it.
