INTRODUCTION OF GM FE INNOVATION PROGRAMME TO WIGAN & LEIGH COLLEGE
Wigan & Leigh College has welcomed a new Business Innovation team as part of its expanding offer to local businesses.
The College is committed to fostering a new environment of innovation that benefits both its students and the businesses they will work with. We believe that by embracing innovation, we can create a brighter future for everyone.
Innovation is the successful use of new ideas, which can be new to a company, industry, or sector.

The new team form part of the Innovate UK funded Greater Manchester Further Education Innovation Programme, a partnership of 9 colleges across the region who are collectively supporting business growth across the region.
Support includes:
- Advice and one to one consultation on how innovation can help business growth.
- Access to funding and innovation support from other providers.
- Training apprentices to act as innovation ambassadors in their companies.
- Workshops and training for businesses on latest innovation developments.
