Is this course for me?

If you want to specialise within this highly rewarding beauty and make up industry then this course is for you. The knowledge and skills included will support progression to level 2, as well as develop employability skills.

What will I study?

During this course, you will cover:

The art of applying make up

Skin care

Manicure

Nail art

Creating an image

Dressing hair

Reception skills

As well as GCSE Maths and/or English if needed.

How long is the course?

Full time for one academic year.

How will I be assessed?

Through completion of practical assessments and written assignments.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 3 GCSE subjects graded 9-2 or equivalent

What can I progress onto?

Progression pathway to the Level 2 in Beauty therapy or Media Make up. Employment within the beauty or cosmetic retailing industry.

Other Information

Both Image Centres have state of the art facilities offering a realistic working environment.

You will need to purchase a beauty kit and Image Centre uniform that must be brought/ worn to ensure admission in the salons, complying with Health and Safety regulations
