If you want to specialise within this highly rewarding beauty industry then this course is for you. The knowledge and skills included are highly commercial and taught to a professional level providing excellent employment opportunities. Our commercial salons are open to the public to ensure a realistic working environment this enables learners to develop skills necessary to work with confidence within such a diverse and exciting industry.

What will I study?

This is an intensive course of study for those wishing to enter the beauty industry, the course content includes: skincare, removing hair using waxing techniques, manicure, pedicure, gel nails, lash and brow treatments and the application of a range of make up looks, learners will also study anatomy, physiology, salon reception, and health and safety.

How long is the course?

One academic year

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through a combination of practical assessments, examinations and an internal synoptic assessment.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9-3 or equivalent including maths or English.

What can I progress onto?

Progression to Level 3 Beauty Therapy, Level 3 Nail Technology, Level 3 Massage, Level 3 Specialist Media Make up or to employment.

Other Information

Both Image Centres have state of the art facilities offering a realistic working environment. You will need to purchase a kit and Image Centre uniform.

You will be required to do additional independent work from home to support your progression through the course.
