If you are interested in working in a dynamic industry where innovation is paramount, we have a range of study routes to a rewarding career.



You may want to take up further study at university level, in subjects such as web and games or mobile app development and computing.

What will I study?

You will gain an insight into the computing industry studying web development, computer programming, digital graphics, multimedia and mobile app development.



Choose from a range of subjects including:

• Mobile apps

• Programming

• Robotics

• Internet of Things

How long is the course?

Level 3 are full-time for two academic years.

How will I be assessed?

Depending on the course, through a combination of practical observations, assignments and formal exams.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9-4 or equivalent, including English or Maths.

What can I progress onto?

You may progress from Level 2 through to Level 3 or to an apprenticeship.



Many Level 3 students progress to the University Centre Wigan & Leigh College's HE programmes, including HND and the BSc (Hons) in Computing.

16-18 year olds do not pay exam fees.

Course fees shown are per annum for University Centre courses. Courses lasting longer than one year, fees will be payable per year.
