The purpose of Pearson BTEC Higher Nationals in Construction Management for England is to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the construction sector and adapt to a constantly changing world.ALIGNED WITH INDUSTRY
Students will gain underpinning knowledge and understanding of technological, social, legal and economic aspects of construction management.
Courses are delivered by tutors with a range of specialist expertise from Chartered Engineering to Quantity Surveying, legal experts and site engineers from leading companies including Balfour Beatty, Mott McDonald and Highways England.
INDUSTRY STANDARD FACILITIES
Study in brand new industry standard facilities at the Centre for Advanced Technical Studies with £118,000 investment in new surveying equipment, including a robotic total station, 3D laser scanner, GPS surveyor equipment.
EXPERIENCE OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM
As part of the Greater Manchester Institute of Technology (GMIoT) we have access to a partner employer network exposing students to more employers through guest speakers, visits and competitions to enhance their employability opportunities.
Courses are delivered flexibly to fit in around your work or family commitments, with part-time day and evening options available and a September or January start.

What qualifications do I need?
1. 96 UCAS points (MMM) from an Extended Diploma, or of you are studying a relevant level 3 Diploma, 64 UCAS points (MM).
2. A levels that demonstrate strong performance in a relevant subject or adequate performance in more than one subject.
3. Other related Level 3 qualification - Merit overall.
4. Access to Higher Education Diploma
5. Related work experience
6. International equivalent of the above
Students must also possess a Grade 4 or above in English and maths at GCSE or equivalent.
Mature learners with experience - supplemented by interview and transition task.
What can I progress onto?
Further study - study for a further year to achieve a HND Level 5 qualification. Once a HND has been completed, you could progress onto a top-up degree at university to achieve a full honours degree.
Higher or degree apprenticeships - This programme can provide you with a stepping stone into a higher or degree apprenticeship.
Employment - the programme provides a solid grounding in construction.

Tutors are industry experienced with leading companies including Balfour Beatty, Mott MacDonald and BAE Systems.
Course Fees
16-18 year olds do not pay exam fees.
Course fees shown are per annum for University Centre courses. Courses lasting longer than one year, fees will be payable per year.
