Is this course for me?

This course offers the opportunity to develop and extend floristry skills and experience. For those wishing to become self-employed, it may widen their career opportunities within the industry. It provides the opportunity to develop the design aspects of floristry, including European styles and intricate wirework.

What will I study?

You will study principles of creative design, plant and flower care, while increasing your advanced practical skills following trends in the industry. You will also explore event floristry, business management and marketing.

How long is the course?

Full-time for one academic year.

How will I be assessed?

Weekly practical work with one practical exam and one written Health and Safety exam.

What qualifications do I need?

Level 2 Floristry qualification or extensive prior industry experience. Grade 4 GCSE English.

What can I progress onto?

Employment, Self-employment, Level 4 Higher Level Diploma in Floristry or Level 5 Master Diploma in professional Floristry.

Other Information
