Is this course for me?

The creative industries offer a wide range of career opportunities. This pathway has been designed to equip you with a range of skills and experiences to support your UCAS applications.

We have combined traditional academic A Level subjects with professional experiences to offer you a comprehensive programme of study.

What will I study?

You will study a suite of A Levels. You will also benefit from our unique Academic Development Day which includes an Extended Project Qualification, work placements, voluntary work and masterclasses delivered by industry experts. The combination of A Levels, additional qualifications and work experience will develop your enthusiasm and critical understanding of creative organisations.

You will study:

Fine Art - based at Leigh College

Media Studies

English Literature OR English Language and Literature

+ a further AS in year 1

Following successful completion of the AS year you may choose to continue to study all four subjects to A Level. However, you may progress with three subjects and retain an AS qualification in one, which will contribute to your UCAS or higher apprenticeship applications.

How long is the course?

Full-time for two academic years

How will I be assessed?

Through exams and course work.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9 - 5 (including English and maths and an Art based subject) and 2 GCSE subjects graded 9 - 6.

What can I progress onto?

To a university degree or equivalent, or a higher apprenticeship in the creative industries.

Course fees shown are per annum for University Centre courses. Courses lasting longer than one year, fees will be payable per year.
