Is this course for me?

If you want to progress towards legal careers, gathering evidence and gaining the necessary skills to support your UCAS application for law related degrees then this course is for you.

You will hone debating skills and take part in a Bar Mock Trial, as well as taking up voluntary and charity work opportunities.

These experiences will help you build vital skills and expand your personal development, as well as boosting applications to top universities and employers.

What will I study?

You will develop the necessary skills and attributes for this challenging career. And you will benefit from the Academic Development Day, which includes the Debating Society and taking part in the Bar Mock Trial. You will study A levels:

English Literature

History

Politics

+ a further AS Level in year 1

Following successful completion of the AS year you may choose to continue to study all four subjects to A Level.

However, you may progress with three subjects and retain an AS qualification in one, which will contribute to your UCAS or higher apprenticeship applications.

How long is the course?

Full-time for two academic years

How will I be assessed?

Through a combination of written exams and practical assessments

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9 - 5 (including maths) and 2 GCSE subjects graded 9 - 6 (including English or an essay based subject such as History).

What can I progress onto?

The Law & Criminology Professional Pathway will prepare you for progression towards legal careers.

You will gather evidence and gain the necessary skills to support your UCAS application for law related degrees.
