Is this course for me?

A mixed programme of A Levels and a BTEC Level 3 qualification as an alternative route to university and degree apprenticeships for those who prefer a combination of coursework and exams.

What will I study?

Choose two A Levels from: Media Studies Economics English Literature or English Combined Business alongside the BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate in Digital Film and Video Production.

How long is the course?

Full time for two academic years

How will I be assessed?

You will undertake external examinations and produce coursework.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9 - 5. If you wish to study A Level English you will need a grade 6 at GCSE.

What can I progress onto?

Successful students will be able to apply for a place at a Russell Group University studying media and journalism, or another creative degree. There are many career prospects and experienced journalists can expect to earn over £35k a year. Other careers include Broadcast Journalists, Investigative Journalist, TV/Film Producer, Writer and PR Manager.
