Is this course for me?
You will develop the analytical thinking skills and principles of mechanical engineering employers are looking for. This programme will develop your knowledge to become a professional engineer, designing innovative products and services, as well as taking technical responsibility for complex engineering systems. You will develop competence in analysis and evaluation in order to problem solve.ALIGNED WITH INDUSTRY

What qualifications do I need?

Mature students with experience, a portfolio of work and employer references will be considered.
Students must also possess a Grade C/4 or above in Maths at GCSE or equivalent.
What can I progress onto?
Further study - study further to achieve a HND Level 5 qualification. Once a HND has been completed, you could progress onto the BEng (Hons) Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (Top-up) degree awarded by UCLan and delivered by the University Centre for 2 years part-time.
Higher or degree apprenticeships - This programme can provide you with a stepping stone into a higher or degree apprenticeship.
Employment - You may secure employment as a Nuclear Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer and Manufacturing Systems Engineer, with varying levels of responsibility depending on your higher qualifications and experience.

Course Fees
16-18 year olds do not pay exam fees.
Course fees shown are per annum for University Centre courses. Courses lasting longer than one year, fees will be payable per year.
