Then this course has been designed to prepare you for employment as a member of air cabin crew. The role of an air cabin crew member is to provide excellent customer service to passengers ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the flight. They are trained to deal with security and emergency situations which may arise and can administer first aid to passengers.

What will I study?

Cabin Crew students will study airline and aviation operations, airline health, safety and security, airline emergency procedures, cabin crew room duties, role of cabin crew (on board), preparation for employment as air cabin crew, beverage services, personal presentation skills, plus essential skills in maths and English..

How long is the course?

Full time for one academic year

How will I be assessed?

The course is continually assessed using a range of methods including coursework, exam, assignments, practical performance and written tests.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9-3 or equivalent including maths or English.

What can I progress onto?

Application for interview in the cabin crew industry and hopefully employment.

Other Information

You will also need to purchase a uniform. To secure employment you need to be between 5'3 and 6'3, have no visible tattoos and must be over 18 years by the end of the course. If you are 16-18 years old, you may be eligible for our FREE bus pass. Find out more at www.wigan-leigh.ac.uk/free-bus-pass
