current role

I am a tutor on the College's Health & Social Care programmes.

before teaching...

I spent over 15 years working in various roles within health and social care. I worked in children’s home with children and young people who were in the care of the Local Authority. I then moved into the homelessness and supported those who were suffering from mental health issues, addiction, general homelessness and offending behaviour.

I am also an active member of my local lifeboat crew and work as part of a team in challenging environments to save lives.

career highlights and achievements...

The highlights of my health and social care career were when I opened two accommodation projects for homeless 16 and 17 year olds.

I have a Level 4 in Health & Social Care, Management and Registered Management Award.
