What a progression story!
Kimberley Richards is now in the final year of her BA (Hons) Creative Practitioner (Graphics) course having progressed from an entry level Foundation course when she first came to College.
Having gone onto Level 1 Computing and then Level 3 she then progressed to the Foundation (FdA) Graphics course at our University Centre and is now close to completing her degree!
"I chose the course as I was more creatively inclined and I wanted to do web design so graphics seemed the best fit."
"I found out about the course when I was on the Level 3 through a Higher Education (HE) talk in College. I chose to come to the Uni Centre due to its location and affordability. It made sense to come here to get my qualifications."
After completing her degree, the 22-year-old would like to work in web design with a particular focus on UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience).
Looking back at her HE experience she added: "One of the things I have enjoyed the most about the course is my personal growth and the capability to not only develop my style and the way I work, but it also helps to develop who you are as a person too.
"We have had opportunities to work with outside agencies which has been good as it helps me to push towards a professional space where I need to meet deadlines for example."
Kimberley also had some great advice to prospective students about the benefits of studying higher education at the University Centre.
"The course has a feel of community to it and the best thing about the University Centre is having the opportunity, no matter what background you come from (to do a degree), and it's very flexible and has something for everyone."
