Fashion students have created a wonderful display to promote their ‘Preppy Sports’ skirt project that can be seen in Wigan’s Grand Arcade.
Working in collaboration with photography and graphics students, all the skirts were designed and made by the fashion students which they also modelled as part of the project.
The display also shows photos and a selection of garments that showcase
the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Fashion & Clothing course & the Level 3
Extended Diploma in Photography course.
The exhibition helped kick off the new shopping season and can be seen in the shopping centre till 26 th January.
Fashion expert and course tutor Dawn Cunningham said: “The project has worked really well and the collaboration with the graphics and photography departments has added to its success.
“The students gained valuable skills relating to receiving project briefs from employers which prepares them for a successful career in the industry.”
John Sanson, Centre Manager at Grand Arcade, added: “We are pleased to supply the space to Wigan & Leigh College as it is a fantastic environment for the students’ impressive, creative artwork to be showcased to our wide variety of shoppers, for all to enjoy.”
