Leader for Foundation Degree Sports Coaching (FdSc), Rebecca Turley has
received the status of Advance HE Fellowship (FHEA).
Rebecca, who is also a Sports Lecturer and Quality Coordinator at the College, achieved the certificate after meeting all criteria in reflective practice to enhance her professional development.
The highly regarded FHEA demonstrates a personal and institutional commitment to professionalism in learning and teaching in higher education.
“I undertook a process of research and reflection to demonstrate my commitment to teaching, learning and the student experience,” said Rebecca.
“It’s important to me to continually enhance what I deliver. I now have aspirations to achieve the Senior Fellowship.”
Recognised worldwide, the FHEA is evidence of attainment against the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning support in higher education.
Rebecca’s benchmark for success within HE will have a direct benefit to the College and its HE provision by immediately enhancing the quality and prominence of teaching and learning activities.
It will also allow for an environment in which staff are encouraged and supported to develop their practice.
